IV. Eligibility Criteria
  • Prospective participants are rigorously selected to ensure a diverse and highly engaged cohort. Candidates should possess:

    • An undergraduate degree (or be in their final year of enrollment) in a relevant discipline such as Law, Political Science, Social Work, International Relations, Social Justice, Social Development, Social Science, or other Humanities disciplines.
    • Early-career professionals working actively in the fields of law, human rights, advocacy, or related sectors are strongly encouraged to apply. This includes judges, lawyers, human rights activists, and NGO workers dedicated to social justice issues.
    • A demonstrated commitment to or prior experience in the field of human rights, evident through academic work, volunteerism, professional engagement, or impactful community involvement.
    • Fluency in English is essential for full participation in lectures, discussions, and assignments. Proficiency must be demonstrated with an IELTS score of minimum 5.5 or an equivalent certificate clearly indicating excellent reading, writing, and speaking abilities.

IX. Certification and Official Documentation
  • Upon successful completion of all course requirements, participants will be awarded an official Certificate of Completion from the International Human Rights Academy Canada. This certificate recognizes their participation and mastery of the course material

 

  • For International Participants Requiring Visas:
    • Upon acceptance into the program, IHRAC will issue an Acceptance Letter.
    • Following the successful payment of the course tuition fee (or confirmation of scholarship coverage), the institution will then send an Official Offer Letter. This letter is specifically designed to support your application for a Canadian study visa (or relevant temporary resident visa), providing essential documentation for your immigration process. Participants are responsible for ensuring they meet all visa requirements and for timely application.
